Payment and Terms

  J. J. Duffy Funeral Home has established a uniform credit policy to serve all families fairly and avoid any misunderstandings. All financial arrangements must be complete before any public notice of funeral services or merchandise is furnished.

1. CASH, CHECK OR CREDIT CARD: In full at time of arrangements.  3.5% Credit Card Processing Fee will apply for card transactions.

2. ACCOUNTS PAID IN ADVANCED: Through a pre-arrangement contract.

3. ASSIGNABLE INSURANCE: Once the assignability, beneficiary and death benefit has been determined (before publication of obituary), assignments will be accepted. 

A  processing fee of 5% will be assessed on assigned amount of the policy.  

4. LENDING USA – Payment Plans with no interest for  six months for qualified applicants.  

(Credit Application Required for LendingUSA)  

NOTE: Medical examiner cases and contestable insurance policies may warrant  non-acceptance of insurance if the cause of death is pending or under investigation even if the policy is verified and assignable. No policies less than two years old are assignable.

If the outstanding balance is not paid in full by 7 days following the services a 10% penalty will be applied on the unpaid balance and 1.5% per month interest (18% APR) thereafter
